As Database Automation Engineer, you will reimagine how database automation is delivered. You are the key person to replace replacing legacy database manual operations with an automation framework powered by Ansible. Our aspiration is to provide the automation portal similar like AWS and providing similar kind of experience. This suite will enable new database products to be provisioned with complex, automated capabilities such as database self-healing, patch conflict analysis and database self-service. This will reduce the dependency on DBA support and enable developers to focus on their data instead of their database.Responsibilities:

Partner with DBAs and engineers to improve delivery of database products and features
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Design automation modules that are reusable and extensible to new database products
Leverage expertise in database security and operational features to reduce risk and outages
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
Develop innovative solutions to solve chronic issues or provide new capabilities
Appropriately assess risk to application data and ensure that automated processes do not expose sensitive data or impact business processing

Qualifications & Required Skills:

Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience as database administrator of any combination of databases of Oracle, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB, Sybase, DB2 LUW, etc. Strong DBA experience is must
3+ years of strong experience in database automation using scripting languages like UNIX Shell scripting, PowerShell, Ansible, etc. Strong experience in Shell scripting is must
Experience in Ansible is huge plus
Experience in PowerShell is huge plus
Experience using Jenkins, Bitbucket, CI/CD is huge plus
Knowledge of Containers, ECS, Docker, Kubernetes etc. is huge plus
Working experience in Agile projects
