Service Technician - Fire Sprinklers

1st Texas Fire Protection is looking for a fire sprinkler service technician to join our growing team. We design, install, and support fire sprinkler systems for residential and commercial facilities in the greater Houston area.

The service technician’s primary duty is to get a residential house or a commercial facility ready for the final inspection. This may include adding, moving, or repairing fire sprinkler heads or pipe as needed. You will work closely with the project manager for each installation. You will drive a company vehicle with tools and parts.

The ideal candidate for this position:

Be self-motivated, able to work under general supervision as well as independently

Excellent communication skills including verbal and written skills

Ability to multi-task and organize work

Follow good safety practices to safeguard against injury and damage to property

Able to work with others, work as a team player

Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems operations and components a plus

Physical demands of this job include:

Ability to climb and descend a ladder up to 20 feet

Ability to climb stairs

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
