Apex has an opportunity for a Data Scientist for one of our client in Houston, TX. This is remote opening, that can sit anywhere as long as you support CST time zone Here are the details:

  • Position: Data Scientist
  • Location: Houston,TX
  • Rate: Negotiable based on experience
  • Duration: 3 months, potential to extend
Description: The main function of the Data Scientist is to produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets. Candidate can sit anywhere but will be required to support client from 8:00am-5:00pm CST Job Details:
  • -Building dashboards and visualizations in Power BI, Spotfire, and/or OSIsoft PI Vision
  • -Building visualizations with GIS
  • -Working with data sets via database queries and API calls
  • -Collaborating with Data Engineer to clean/massage/analyze data sets
  • -Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • -User-centric design concepts

Required Technical Skillsets:
  • -Apps/Services: Power BI, Spotfire, Azure Analytics Service, MSSQL, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Warehouse/Synapse, ArcGIS, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks
  • -Programming Languages: Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, T-SQL/PL-SQL, C#
  • -Data Structures: JSON & XML

Preferred Experience:
  • -Programming in C# & T-SQL
  • -Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, & Visual Studio

Education:
  • -Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or in a relevant field
