- Good work experience and proficiency in developing the web applications using Java/J2EE technologies like Java, Java-Swing, J2EE(JSP/Servlet/JDBC/JMS), Web Services, SOAP, REST, Jasper Reporting, SQL, PL/SQL, JSON, XML, Maven, Ant
- Knowledge of Frameworks like Spring, Struts, Hibernate, iBatis
- Experience working with Databases like Oracle including PL/SQL Development, Packages, Stored procedures, views, etc.,
- Good knowledge on Web/Application Servers: WebSphere, JBoss, Apache Tomcat and Redis
- Good work experience in Agile development methodologies
- Strong knowledge in production technical architecture, deployment architecture and design
- Good understanding on Microservices architecture
- Good knowledge on log monitoring tools for troubleshooting
- Strong understanding on AWS concepts
- Good knowledge on ITIL and ITSM processes (Event Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management)
- Good understanding on ITSM/Ticketing tools usage
- Good understanding on version control systems like GIT
- Experience in Unix/Linux, Java, Database, Batch/Quartz Schedulers experience is a strong plus
- Experience working in Realtime production applications
- Strong knowledge and understanding about various APM monitoring platforms and building application and infra performance dashboards
- Troubleshoot of enterprise-level information technology solutions by analyzing, testing, and implementing new software and by suggesting modifications/enhancements to existing software applications.
- Understand processes, services, software, and other tools to support business objectives pertinent to AWS technologies.
- Coordinate with Technical architects to determine issues and troubleshooting practices.
- Resolve issues and conflicts between the ideal application performance/uptime and user reported issues
- Responsible for learning and understanding the underlying code, expected performance behaviors, and how to resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Responsible for identifying and reporting bug fixes throughout the applications
- Will research monitoring best practices to be developed where needed, within the applications and reporting
- Communicate with end users/business to explain the issue(s) and resolution. Provide technical analysis for the production incidents, resolution, and root cause analysis for the incidents
- Perform impact analysis not only technical but also functional
- Address service requests and production maintenance support
- Actively monitor, acknowledges, and works on production tickets
- Provide code/config fixes to the applications in production
- Provide regular status updates to all stakeholders on the incidents accordingly to the agreed timelines with business
- Work with third party vendors and other teams for incident resolutions
- Provide deployment / release support for all major, minor releases of the product
- Publish knowledge articles for the incidents and service requests, prepares technical documents for the standard operating procedures
- Extensive problem solving and debugging skills
- Ability to independently apply production upgrades and support the products and technologies
- Contributing to defining and documenting key production support processes and procedures and working to continually improve the level of service and overall experience we provide our hosting tenants.
- Working with SME’s to create and publish documentation, tenant communications, FAQ’s, and training materials for the enterprise cloud hosting platforms.
- Monitoring shared email, request queues, and problem ticket queues in order to properly triage, assign, and ensure resolution to questions and issues.
- Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills
- Willing to be on-call and flexible work hours
- Strong willingness to learn and capable to acquire autonomously knowledge with minimal input
- Monitoring tools like Splunk, Kibana, App Dynamics or any other industry standard ones
- MongoDB (recommended) or any other NoSQL and SQL database experience
- AWS technologies - Experience in cloud-based software projects, web application development, security and open-source technologies
- Cloud Technologies: Microservices/API, AWS, IAM, S3, EFS, Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, AWS APIs, AWS CLI, Amazon Kinesis, Apache Kafka, CloudFormation, Serverles
- NoSQL Data base e.g. Cassandra, Dynamo DB, PostGreSQL
- Efficient in Scripting language such as shell script, python
