Vaco has a full-time role in North Houston for a hands on IT Manager. This role will direct and coordinate a small staff and support both Infrastructure and Applications for our client.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain Network System and Security - 30%
Maintain Servers and Databases - 10%
Maintain Back Up System - 5%
Maintain Company website and Support Sales - 15%
Maintain Office Equipment - 5%
Manage Staff - 10%
Other - 25% (Automate manual processes, solve business system needs and issues, set up / maintain user accounts and create and maintain other programs)

Required Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or experience in related field

10-15 + years of successful experience in Windows Network Application
Minimum of 5+ years supervisory experience
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Systematic approach to Information Technology. Solid understanding of enterprise architecture, and of business intelligence for decision-making and performance improvement.
Sufficient breadth and depth of architecture knowledge (data, information, infrastructure, applications, business/enterprise, security) to provide sound guidance
Proven leadership skills to boost morale and motivate employees
Experience working with Microsoft Access required
Microsoft GP knowledge a HUGE plus.
