Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the restaurant industry for an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Houston, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be tasked with meticulous invoice processing, maintaining check runs, and applying your skills in Accounts Payable, Microsoft Excel, and Data Entry to ensure efficient financial operations.Responsibilities: Accurately processing a significant volume of detailed invoices on a daily basis. Conducting check runs to ensure financial transactions are completed. Applying expertise in Accounts Payable to manage and oversee financial transactions. Utilizing Microsoft Excel to keep track of financial data and produce reports. Resolving discrepancies through diligent research and problem-solving skills. Requesting credit memos to adjust account balances as needed. Coding invoices to ensure accurate categorization and record-keeping. Journal entries to maintain an accurate record of financial transactions. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or related field Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures Demonstrated experience in Check Runs Skilled in Coding Invoices with accuracy and efficiency Strong data entry skills with attention to detail Experience in Invoice Processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and vlookups Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
