Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.As a Pricing Consultant, you will partner with Caterpillar product development and financial teams to guide pricing decisions to align with overall product and company goals. A typical day might include:

Utilizing analytics tools to draw insights and identify and recommend opportunities to maximize sales and increase profitability

Developing advanced strategic pricing recommendations for new and existing products by incorporating the entire value chain and external forces

Acting as a thought partner to key stakeholders for new product launches

Evaluating price structures and value realization

Complete competitive price analysis

Working with industry managers to implement future price changes

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, finance, economics, statistics, accounting, marketing, or related fields

5+ years of progressive professional experience in pricing strategy and analytics, financial analysis

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

Outstanding problem solving and analysis skills, combined with solid business judgement and ability to build and present business cases and gain agreement from key leaders

Experience working strategic initiatives and the ability to communicate cross-functionally across product marketing, accounting and product development teams

Demonstrated focus on quality and customer needs with soft skills to work through sensitive business problems and change management

High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with little supervision and instruction

Base knowledge of various Caterpillar products, product applications, merchandising programs and business systems is a plus

Additional Details:

Limited travel required (5% of working time).
