Accounts Payable Clerk

Description Robert Half is in the process of hiring an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Oil & Gas - Field Svcs field. This Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position offers an opportunity to become an essential part of a company in the Oil & Gas - Field Svcs industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Houston, Texas area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position. Further career growth and quick advancement is possible in this dynamic department. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.What you get to do every day

Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling

Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

Perform full-cycle A/P

Carry out additional tasks as assigned

Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them

Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks Requirements - Strong attention to detail

Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

Data entry experience preferred

Accounts Payable (AP) experience

Well-founded grasp of Purchase Orders

Proven knowledge of Oracle NetSuite Technologies

Foundational knowledge in account reconciliation

Typing Data Entry experience

NetSuite experience highly desired
