Staff Accountant

Description Robert Half is searching for a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. You'll also be participating in compliance, reviewing schedules for the reporting processes, and staying connected with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. The Staff Accountant spends a good deal of time producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This Houston, Texas based company is offering a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity that is multi-faceted and challenging in nature. It's a thriving environment where effort is rewarded.Primary Responsibilities: · Daily invoicing using bespoke system for our internal & external customers. · Deal with stakeholders to get invoices approved and properly recorded. Following up on outstanding approvals as needed. · Coordinate with Operations to link AP invoices to correct transaction· Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Payable · Inputting AP payment transactions into SAP and reconciling to bank accounts· Tracking status of submissions in SAP · Inputting costs associated with trades, and update Aspect system · Prepare month end journal entriesRequirements · Good systems experience, and Microsoft Excel required· Excellent attention to detail and a logical approach is a must· Highly organized & ability to take ownership & responsibility for tasks· Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels· Ability to cope under pressure and produce accurate time critical information· Ability to proactively manage and prioritize workloads· Ability to take on additional ad hoc tasks as and when required· High personal quality standards· Strong team playerRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
