ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

As a Design Electrical Engineer, the role involves developing and testing downhole electronics for completion tool products in accordance with industry standards. The responsibilities include designing high-temperature and rugged electronics for downhole completion tools, as well as supporting the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes. Additionally, the Engineer may be involved in designing product-specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Design analog and digital electronics for completion tools
Conduct testing of prototype products
Perform schematic capture and PCB design using industry-standard software
Assist with sustaining existing products
Utilize PDM (Product Data Management) software for databasing design documents
Answer technical queries about products
Assist with manufacturing engineering aspects related to products

Education & Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's Engineering degree is required, preferably from an ABET accredited university
Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred
5-10 years of relevant design experience is preferred
Experience with hands-on assembly and testing of electronics for downhole tools is preferred

Technical Competencies:

Experience with downhole tool electronics and PCB design software is required
PDM software experience is preferred
Teamcenter or other engineering database software experience is desired
Ability to understand basic hydraulics and mechanical systems is highly preferred

Working Hours: The standard workweek is 40 hours per week, with flexible start and end times

Hybrid Work: This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 2 days of remote work and 3 days in the office each week.
