Owns people management responsibilities for 2-6 business analysts

Owns the development and delivery of one or multiple high complexity software product(s) in financial consolidations, reporting, finance analytics functions.

Partner with various finance teams, inclusive of tax, regulatory reporting, accounting, controllership, finance system enablement, to ensure new products and enhancements are integrated into finance systems and operational processes in a timely and consistent manner

Owns and drives key business relationships for the product(s)

Researches and analyzes industry trends and benchmarking information as they apply to product(s)

Creates & maintains an executable backlog of product requirements in line with the strategic roadmaps for the applications.

Understands, defines, and communicates prioritization of product requirements with a mind toward business value and tradeoffs

Assists with the distillation of product backlog requirements into user stories

Participates actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews and retrospectives to drive team alignment on product vision and value delivery

Weighs business risks, issues, and impediments being experienced by the product team and actively assists with issue resolution

Inspects product progress throughout the sprint and is empowered to make critical decisions and accept work completed by the team

Supports product team members as they engage with stakeholders, build a backlog, and deliver work

Mandatory Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of Finance and Accounting.

8+ years' experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst for applications supporting financial consolidations, reporting and other finance functions with a min 5 years of experience in an agile environment.

Fundamental understanding of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, finance data for sales, customer, vendor, item etc.,

Hands on experience working with ERP products like SAP BPC (Business Planning and Consolidation), Analysis for Office, EPM, Microsoft BI tools, SQL SAP BW, HANA.

Strong and proven knowledge in the areas of financial close process at global organization, forecasting, planning, working on customer and Item profitability models, finance analytics.

Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile development frameworks

Proven experience managing design and delivery of highly technical and complex large-scale products

Sound knowledge of emerging technologies focusing on cloud products, SaaS platforms, or Enterprise Applications

Preferred Experience:

Experience working on projects from design to implementation for finance applications.

Project Management experience with focus on design, facilitating development, testing and delivery.

Familiarity with SOX controls and awareness of technical security operations and information security standards.

Understanding of key finance, consolidations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, planning processes.

Competencies

Strong product management skills with deep understanding of product vision and overall product lifecycle

Demonstrated leadership and people management skills and ability to make decisions and set clear priorities

Proven ability to recognize value and manage investments to maximize value delivered

Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
