The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.As the largest mortgage originator and servicer in the country, understanding the value of real estate is critical. Real Estate Valuation Services (REVS) serves as an independent risk management function within Corporate Credit that:

Interprets appraisal regulation and sets Corporate Valuation Policy

Communicates with regulators on pending and proposed regulations

Assumes responsibility for ensuring that compliant valuation processes and practices are in place for all valuations across Wells Fargo

Leads the industry in real estate valuation processes and execution

The RE Valuation Support Consultant - Commercial Implementation Lead will be responsible for performing a number of job duties including but not limited to:

Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.

Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.

Staying up to date on the latest valuation processes and advancements to assist with developing automation and increase accuracy and efficiency.

Perform ongoing analysis of processes and functionality to achieve business objectives.

Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements (e.g., Operations, 3rd Party, Analytics, etc.).

Role requires effectively communicating strategies and implementation plans to senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

12+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: lending, valuation, or underwriting

Certified General Appraiser

Desired Qualifications:

Commercial real estate experience

Knowledge and understanding of real estate valuations and titles

Strategic planning and development experience

Ability to create and improve process through strategic thinking

Strong relationship management skills

Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
