You will welcome patients and coordinate front-desk activities. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality. The Bilingual Front Office Specialist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. Provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and maintain optimal wellness by guiding members/families toward resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members.Center Address: 11978 Westheimer Rd, Suite B, Houston, TX 77077Job Functions:Welcomes patients and visitors

Assists patients, answering patients' questions

Appointment scheduling

Verification of insurances

Collecting patient charges

Required QualificationsOne year experience in a patient-facing or customer facing position within a medical office or healthcare setting

Bilingual English and Spanish without limitations to read, write, and speak in both languages

Language Proficiency Test (English/Spanish) : Candidate must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. These tests must be completed after an interview and before an offer is extended.

Familiarity with care and well-being resources, or ability to research and obtain information

Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Preferred Qualifications1 plus years of experience in a Physician office setting

Experience with EMR's

Knowledge of medical terminology

Experience with Senior population

Knowledge of Managed care and Medicare

Working hours : Monday to Friday 8AM-5PMAdditional InformationThis role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.

Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
