JOB SUMMARY The primary purpose of the IT Specialist II is to maintain system security for all computer systems, networks and the enterprise infrastructure as a whole, with limited guidance and work direction. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively contributes to the development of controls and processes improving information security services
  • Provides input into security strategy
  • Supports the resolution of security incidents
  • Conducts risk analysis assessments of systems and technologies
  • Research new security tools and technologies
  • Prepares the analysis and reporting of security activities and performance to management
  • Can provide security expertise across multiple technical platforms
  • Provides guidance to IT colleagues and business partners regarding security procedures and standards and to collect information regarding security compliance
  • Develops, analyzes, maintains and monitors information from enterprise security tools
  • Begins to propose ideas and contribute to the development of security solutions
  • Builds and maintains strong working knowledge of various business areas and the security applications that support it
  • Can assess the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements and costs
  • Contributes to reviews of project designs to ensure security design is compliant with policy and operational requirements
  • Analyzes business processes, defining and documenting security requirements
  • Participates in operational security incident and crisis resolution management
  • Responds to security requests and problems, explaining company policies and procedures
  • Produces basic documentation of a new or proposed system
  • Shares knowledge effectively within the work team
  • Typically consults to project teams addressing projects of moderate size and complexity and where the security issues are clearly evident and can be addressed using standard approaches
  • Selects appropriate work procedures or approaches to address technical challenges, consistent with appropriate standards and policies
  • Monitor security tools and identify indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and work to resolving them
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience Demonstrates strong understanding of multiple security platforms and technologies. Possesses a strong working knowledge of security principles, policies, tools and procedures. Demonstrates a basic understanding of the industry and is familiar with the products and services of Nabors. Ability to complete tasks independently/in a team oriented environment with limited guidance Ability to communicate and work across multiple teams and departments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four years of relevant experience
  • Experience with VPN/Remote Access solutions
  • Experience with Zscaler Cloud Security
  • Experience with endpoint anti-malware technologies
  • Experience with security standards like NIST, ISO and OWASP
  • Desirable Certifications: SANS, CISSP, Security Solutions/Tools Certifications
