Job Title: Data Analyst IV

Location: Houston, Texas - 77002

Duration: 6+ months(+extension)


Business Data Analyst Location: Remote until return to office, Chicago, or Houston after return

Job Responsibilities: You will be responsible for preparing Business Requirement Documents for projects, including process flow, use cases, test plans and user stories. You will generate these documents by interviewing stakeholders (users and IT teams), studying data structures and content, and understanding expected uses and performance requirements by internal consumers. You should also identify gaps in understanding or misalignment in expectations for deliverables to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements is delivered to developers. You will need the ability to navigate vague inputs and manage multiple deliverables, both short and long-term, in a busy and aggressive environment, while staying flexible to dynamic needs and priority levels. You should be able to establish and maintain strong business relationships and manage agile development and delivery by collaborating with project manager, product owner and development leads

Other skills and requirements: Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (statistics, engineering, business analytics, information systems, aviation management or related degree) Proven experience gathering and developing at requirements 5+ years of experience in an analytical role and at least 2 years in a role responsible for creation of business requirements documentation and/or technical writing Proven proficiency in SQL/SparkSQL required, proficiency in Python preferred Strong knowledge of using cloud technologies like AWS, Google Analytics Working knowledge of databases, data warehousing and programming concepts Strong initiative to take ownership of data-focused projects, get involved in the details of validation and testing, as well as provide a business user perspective to their work Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong problem-solving skills, using data to tackle problems Strong organization and project management skills, and strong attention to detail Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts in a clear, precise, and actionable manner Outstanding writing, communication and presentation skills preferred Experience in the travel industry, especially airline related preferred
