Location: Houston, TX

Job Type: Direct Hire

Salary: $80-120k DOE

Overview: Our established client is seeking a security engineer to join their growing team of security professionals. The Security Engineer will serve as the SME for various security controls, and be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and support of of various IT security controls.

Required Skills:

Bachelor’s degree
5+ years in the information security field
3+ years as Security Engineer
Experience creating and building security processes, policies and procedures
Technical proficiency in the following areas is required:
- Azure
- Firewalls
- Hybrid Environments
- HIPPA
- HiTrust/HiTech
- PCI Compliance
- Access Control Systems
- VLAN
- Hardening and securing network infrastructure
- SSO
- Encryption
- SSL/TLS

Preferred Skills:

Comp TIA Security +, CEH, CISSP or other related security certifications
Technical proficiency in the following areas is desired:
- Fortinet Firewall
- SonicWall Firewall
- CrowdStrike
- Axis Cameras
- Zero Trust
- Aruba Networks/Cloud Management
- Wireless Access Points
- SDWAN
