Title: Architect III Location: Houston, Texas Type: Contract, 12 months to start
Looking for an Information Management Solution Architect. The desired qualifications include 5+ year Experience with and/or working understanding of o Information and Records Management o Microsoft 365 and Azure 5+ year of Technical depth and breadth across large-scale cloud and data architectures technologies Demonstrated deep understanding of solution architecture frameworks and Agile Frameworks. Must have a disciplined, methodical, minimalist approach to integrating components that can be embedded within larger frameworks A keen eye for good architecture and the ability to develop new architectures and frameworks Demonstrated experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle (plan, design, develop, test, release, maintain and support, decommission) Technical depth and functional knowledge in software engineering and systems architecture. Deeply technical software engineer that designs and implements complex software solutions. Uses and develops patterns for emerging technologies, owns technical decisions, defines governance processes, and aligns with business strategies and portfolio investments. Establishes a forward-looking vision for the product area, ensures quality technical delivery, reduces technical debt and drives modernization. Continuously improves and evolves technical guidance. Coaches engineers to build with engineering discipline through mentoring and code reviews, leads architecture runway, and advocates for solid software development practices; testing, modularity, scalability, observability and integration. Works with Product Managers and guides product line architects to deliver a set of business capabilities.Summary: The main function of a architect is to ensure that the data assets of an organization are supported by an architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goal. A typical architect is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to get to the data.Job Responsibilities:- Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage oneas time.
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling.
- Knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc.
- Associate's degree in computer programming or a relevant field required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred. 5-7 years experience required.
