Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

Local accounting firm in Houston is looking for an income tax preparer / bookkeeper with personal income tax experience. You will be part of a team of professionals working to improve the overall efficiency of the department and the company. An ideal candidate should be very aspiring and willing to learn and grow.

General Responsibilities:

Prepare individual and business tax returns

Prepare payroll returns and related bookkeeping

Prepare monthly bookkeeping using QuickBooks or Sage Software a plus

Be available to work overtime, including Saturdays during tax season

Experience Requirements:

Proven working experience

Experience with general ledger functions

Experience with accounting software such a Lacerte or Sage and administration skills a plus

This is a full time position starting immediately. Salary is based on experience.
