Responsibilities:
  • Be a technical leader and mentor to the development team.
  • Lead and manage teams of developers in the use of agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum), techniques, principles, values and best practices.
  • Develop and grow the team and capabilities.
  • Own Transplace Parcel TMS applications & environments.
  • Participate in planning and management of development resources, plan and schedule releases, and train/cross-train members of the team.
  • Own delivery timeline and quality of delivery.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture and developer tools.
  • Developed and implemented measurable continuous improvement plans.
  • Inspire, motivate, grow the team to achieve high team engagement.
  • Data driven, understand the need for and apply analytics.

Requirement:
  • Experience in leading development teams for high volume consumer facing systems.
  • Comfortable working with various levels of the organization.
  • Adaptable & curious about current market and technology trends.
  • Passionate about quality and controls.
  • A superior communicator with a inclination for change management.
  • Relentless in the desire for production stability.
  • A good mentor for the team.
  • Nourish a collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong drive for excellence

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in managing software development teams.
  • 8+ years development experience in C# and/or Java.
  • Familiarity with at-least one front end technology.
  • Expertise with at-least one RDBMS.
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal technical communication with an ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
