Due to the growth and acquisition they are in need of two newly created Staff Accountants.As Staff Accountant you will be responsible for handling the accounting for several different locations which will included the daily general ledger activities, month-end close, account reconciliations, job costing, inventory, fixed assets and financial reports for corporate.Interested candidates must have a bachelor degree in Accounting and 2 plus years of progressive accounting experience in areas such as participating in month-end close, job costing, inventory and fixed assets. Strong Excel knowledge and working with a major ERP is also required. Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

Take part in various department-wide initiatives

Annual Physical Inventory experience

Comprehensive knowledge of job costing

Practical knowledge of month end closings

Adeptness in Inventory Reconciliation

Earlier work involving University Degree

Knowledge of Job Cost

Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience highly preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Variance

General familiarity with journal entries

Inventory controls experience

Previous experience working with Analyze Financial Statements

Deep understanding of fixed assets

Good understanding of consolidations

Background working with account reconciliation

Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Skilled with ERP systems

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
