Job Description

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Sr Director of Global Technology (GTO), Supply Chain Logistics and Planning. The position drives system and process alignment across the DC network by maintaining, updating, and evaluating enhancement needs of DC systems. This role supports Global Logistics US-based distribution centers as the main point of contact for IT related issues in the DC network.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Drive Distribution Center Network System & Process Alignment
  • Ensure proper processes and document requirements are being followed across the DC Network
  • Engages in rigorous root cause analysis, problem solving and solution implementations.
  • Ensure system processes work in a manner that adheres to DC shipping processes and customer requirements
  • Support DC network by maintaining and updating systems and data used by the DC’s. Systems include but not limited to DST, AS400, Mimics, DST, Omni, Monarch, Package Program, Application Xtender, MobiControl.
  • Update and maintain zip zones and rates in Package Program, Pro-Numbers, SCAC Codes, Ship points, Freight Class, Customer Manifest.
  • Identify, vet, review with leadership, and implement process improvements
  • Support Global IT as DC Network Point of Contact
  • Provide end user desktop support in conjunction with Corporate GTO
  • Trouble shoot system issues to ensure that work flows through properly in each system.
  • Work with multiple departments to validate and approve new label requirements
  • Assist in assessing IT equipment needs and make recommendations
  • Primary conduit to supply chain DC business leadership and personnel in technology modernization initiatives across all phases of the project lifecycle (analysis, design, build, test, deploy)

  • Responsible for working with the DC business team to gather detailed requirements and processes

  • Applying leading practices to requirements and processes and facilitating the development of to-be processes to be deployed on the modernized platform which effectively support Mattel’s supply chain operations characteristics.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Plus 5 or more years related experience and/or training. or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Expert understanding of various modern technology platforms that support supply chain distribution and fulfillment, ideally in the B2B CPG, fashion industries.
  • Expert program management skills including the ability to effectively integrate and manage competing resources.
  • Expert relationship management/networking skills.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise with negotiating conflicts
  • Expert leadership skills; prior management experience within supply chain technology.
  • Knowledge and experience with deploying operating systems, applications, patch management and desired configurations
  • Working knowledge of the following will be advantageous: Windows OS, Microsoft OS technologies such as Windows7-8 and Windows10; iSeries / AS400; MDM solutions, and ITIL qualification
