Author with a book deal seeks Agent

Currently, I have a book deal with John M. Hardy publishing or its sister company Debe Ink based in Houston, Texas. I am looking for a qualified agent who will fight on my behalf to reach and sell to vast audiences. It is highly irregular that I negotiated the book deal (with a 50% royalty agreement) before I got the agent, but I need someone who is experienced with selling books (and ebooks), and someone who knows how to market. The book consists of prose poetry and a few short stories; it is called "Messages of Hope". I wrote it to serve the vast population that is suffering from emotional poverty or what is commonly described as feelings of hopelessness. It will be available on most major platforms and to retailers.

Qualified individuals will know that it takes at least a year from the deal to the release. I want to use this time to aggressively pursue my goals with realistic expectations. Seeing that I will be receiving 50% of the proceeds, a compensation of 10% net profit of everything I make is substantially greater than what an average agent would receive. For this reason, the agent must have the necessary qualifications to be considered for the position. If you want to make money for doing something meaningful and provide a message that we all need, then please say so in your cover letter and explain why you would be best for the job.

Requirements:

Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in related fields

6+ years of experience or provable track record in pr/marketing/sales

You must read my book "Messages of Hope"

Must be able to target in-the-market audiences through social media, Youtube, and Google

Be able to establish and maintain relationships with sponsors and charitable partners

Experience in promotions

Contribute fresh and innovative ideas and improve upon an already in motion marketing plan

Have a passion for spreading a positive message
