Restaurant Staff -Busser/Runner/Server - up to $30/hr (including tips)

Elegant dining restaurant is seeking full/part time energetic and highly motivated bussers, runners and servers for a high-volume establishment.

Servers currently are making up to $30/hour (including tips) based on experience here.

Runners currently are making up to $25/hour (including tips) based on experience here.

Bussers make $15-$20/hour (including tips) based on experience here.

Server Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome customers and treat them with excellent hospitality.

Foster a friendly, welcoming, and professional environment for customers.

Take food and beverage orders accurately using the ordering POS system.

Take special note of food allergies or preferences and timely communicate to the kitchen staff.

Explain menu to the customers, answer any questions and make recommendations on menu selections to customers

Accurately and timely deliver food to the customers, making sure it is appealing before serving

Check in with the customers periodically to make sure everything is to customer's satisfaction.

Respond promptly to customers issues, escalating to management if necessary.

Collect timely payment from the customers and close the order accurately.

Clear the table for the next customer, keeping their section clean and prepared for new customers

Perform light cleaning in the dining, serving stations, or kitchen areas if needed. Help with basic food prep as needed.

Know and follow applicable food service safety standards

Busser Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Set Tables - Clear dirty dishes, silverware, and glasses from tables, wipe down surfaces, and reset tables with fresh linens, silverware, and condiments for the next customer.

Banquet/Buffet Setup: Assist with setting up tables for banquets/large events or buffets. Clearing plates and tables after the event.

Support Servers: Support servers in serving customers with tasks like refilling water glasses and delivering food when needed

Dining area upkeep: Keep the dining area clean by sweeping and mopping floors, wipe down chairs, clean spills promptly, and ensuring the overall appearance of the dining room is tidy and presentable.

Restocking: Replenish service stations and tables with necessary items like napkins, silverware, and condiments. Polish plates and silverware.

Assist with opening and closing: Help with setting up the dining room before opening and cleaning it at the end of the shift, including tasks like taking out trash

Know and follow applicable food service safety standards

Other duties as assigned

Runner Responsibilities:

Deliver food: Timely deliver food and beverage from the kitchen expo or bar to the correct customer tables.

Verify orders: Double-check that each order is correct and matches the ticket before taking it to the customer.

Support servers: Assist servers with tasks like refilling drinks, clearing plates, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Maintain cleanliness: Clear dirty dishes and utensils from tables, and help with general cleanliness of the dining area.

Customer Service: Greet customers, answer basic questions about their food, and address any concerns, ensuring a pleasent experience. Respond promptly to customers issues, escalating to management if necessary.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the dining area.

Maintain a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for the customers

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Flexibility: Availability to work late evenings, weekends, and holidays, as these are often the busiest times for restaurants.

Teamwork and communication: Strong communication skills to work effectively with servers, hosts, bartenders and kitchen staff, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Current TABC Certification (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) or completion at hire for Runners.

Current Food Handler Certification or completion at hire.

Average pay is based on schedule availability and employee flexibility and is based on an estimate of recent payroll.
