Four years of experience triaging, supporting, and managing IT application production issues. location: DALLAS, Texasjob type: Permanentsalary: $90,000 - 110,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:Position Summary: The Systems Analyst is responsible for systems requirements, testing, and support of software and infrastructure projects by defining and analyzing system needs, developing and implementing testing standards, and providing operational support of implemented solutions. Essential Functions Systems Analysis Responsibilities - Determine operational objectives by studying application functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats - Identify and document system requirements and/or technical specifications using Waterfall/Agile methodologies - Create application and database data mapping - Analyze business requirements to identify and document "To-Be" Process Flows System Integration Testing Responsibilities - Support holistic testing efforts for multiple projects and software releases, including integration, system, regression, performance testing, etc. - Write and implement Test Plans and Test Cases execution of Test Cases and Test Scenarios for System Integration Testing (SIT) - Develop, execute and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts - Document and evaluate test results and defects, track and manage defects and work with Development team and business to troubleshoot issues - Provide testing estimates for assigned work - Establish and maintain traceability of requirements through test plans and cases - Provide input on go / no-go decisions for production releases - Ensure solution satisfies the defined requirements - Work with teams to implement and adopt applicable testing practices; e.g. automated testing - Collaborate with team to develop, implement and improve QA procedures, capabilities, approaches, and services Production Control Responsibilities - Ensure the necessary approvals and artifacts have been gathered during CAB (Change Advisory Board) process - Maintenance and Level 2 support of application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation - Root cause analysis in partnership with Development and Infrastructure Service Support team members - Suggest fixes to complex issues by doing a thorough analysis of root cause and impact of the defect - Perform production support activities including issue analysis and resolution within specified SLAs - Test releases in lower environments and validate Production environments - Development and Test Environment Management - Problem Management - Level 2 Support Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies - strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building - strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands - strong knowledge and understanding of system needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence - Proven ability as Systems Analyst for infrastructure and software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met - Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: - Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps, Smartsheet or equivalent - Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools - Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level - Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining "big picture" view - Detail oriented Qualifications - Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment - 3+ years of experience Systems Analyst/QA Analyst - 3+ years of experience with triaging, supporting, and managing IT application production issues, incidents, root cause identification, and incident/problem management - Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with application development and infrastructure projects. PMI ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred - Balanced business/technical background - Demonstrated expertise in testing to software and infrastructure solutions using standard methodologies, and procedures - Demonstrated experience executing and coordinating integration, system, regression and user-acceptance testing - ITIL Foundations certified preferred, not required qualifications:- Experience level: Experienced
