Role: Sr.Splunk Developer Client:Hitachi /CitiBankLocation: Dallas,TX (Hybrid) Job Description: Experience with managing, configuration, troubleshooting: KVStore, Bundle Replication, SplunkIndex Clusters, Splunk Search Head Clusters, Deployment Server, Deployer Server, and Peering Experience with integrating Splunk with a wide variety of legacy data sources Knowledge of scripting languages to include JavaScript, Python, Perl, shell scripting or any otherhigh-level language Hands-on experience with large distributed systems from an architecture and developmentperspective Hands-on experience working with SIEM solutions, integrating various data sources, anddeveloping and configuring centralized management dashboards Strong background in security analytics data (e.g., logs, metrics, events, traces) based on projectexperience Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environmentsKnowledge of the information retrieval process Excel at working directly with customers to gather, prioritize, plan, and execute solutions tocustomer business requirements Experience with administering Splunk Apps supported and developing new or extending existingApps to perform specialized functionality Knowledge of Splunk hybrid environments, Splunk ITSI, Splunk base, and Splunk EnterpriseSecurity Ability to upgrade Splunk versions Ability to create and maintain engagement process and documentation related to architecture,operational process, and training material for Splunk Ability to integrate Splunk with a wide variety of legacy data sources. Perform capacity planning, data integration, data transformation, field extraction, event parsing,data preview, and configuration management of Splunk platform Design and customize complex search queries, and promote advanced searching, forensics andanalytics, develop dashboards and visualizations, data models, reports and optimize theirperformance Onboard and maintain a wide variety of data sources including various OS, appliance, andapplication logs Work closely with Linux and Windows server administration teams to diagnose and resolveconfiguration issues Perform data mining and analysis, using various query and reporting methods Solve/troubleshoot complex integration challenges and configuration issues Manage Splunk knowledge objects Analyze and optimize log collection and reporting to increase value and reduce unnecessarycollection Identify and handle data discrepancy issues within the Splunk monitoring system Assist with training application team members on Splunk functionality Support Splunk capacity and performance analysis
