TITLE: Enterprise Cloud ArchitectResponsible for designing and advising on solutions that adhere to security and cloud best practices. You will also provide thought leadership and guidance in the development of cloud-native workloads and CI/CD processes that automate the deployment and maintenance of cloud applications, infrastructure, and environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Collaborate with peers in the IT group to plan cloud infrastructure including virtual networks, compute, and storage resources.
- Plan hybrid architectures to securely integrate on-premises resources with both private and public cloud resources.
- Design, document and communicate strategies for tracking resources, costs, and cost attribution.
- Create and maintain documentation for all cloud and hybrid architectures.
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code for the deployment and maintenance of all cloud resources.
- Create and maintain DevOps pipelines for the deployment of cloud infrastructure, internally-developed applications, and third-party applications.
- Create and maintain documentation for all architecture, pipelines, and processes.
- Evaluate requirements and propose infrastructure architecture and resources that adhere to security best practices and requirements.
- Create and maintain helm charts and other packaging and deployment tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to define, document, and communicate requirements for monitoring, alerting, and ensuring the observability of applications.
- Collaborate with the security team to establish best practices for cloud architecture and implement Azure policies to enforce guidelines and requirements.
- Review third-party applications and make recommendations for integrating with the cloud infrastructure.
- Evangelize cloud best practices and educate and mentor team members on cloud services and capabilities.

Skills:

- Proven professional experience designing and implementing automated deployments of modern applications with YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- An understanding of SDLC and deployment patterns.
- Experiencing with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Experience working with both Windows and Linux environments.
- Proven professional experience with Azure ARM, Azure Bicep, AWS Cloud formation, or other IaC frameworks.
- An understanding of monitoring, alerting, and automated responses as well as prior experience implementing tools and processes to support these observability functions.
- Working knowledge of containerization; specifically experience with Docker and Kubernetes, Helm and Azure Container Registry.
- An understanding of Azure storage services such as Blob, ADLS Gen2, Azure Files, Storage Queues, and Storage Tables.
- Prior experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Mongo DB, Cosmos DB, and other relational and NoSQL database engines is a plus.
- Experience working with AWS is a plus.

Education & Certifications:

- CIS, MIS, CS, or equivalent
- Preferential consideration for qualified candidates with one or more of the following certifications:
  - Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals
  - Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  - Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate
  - Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
