Job Summary/Company:

A Sparks Group Partner is seeking a Network Engineer Cloud Specialist to join a team responsible for all aspects of network internal infrastructure. This position starts remote but will need to come onsite eventually; must be located near Winston-Salem, NC or Dallas, TX. Responsibilities:

Responsible for architecting, configuring, and securing cloud network solutions
Review of network systems hardening configurations based on company standards
Participate in the planning, design, implementation, installation, testing, support, and maintenance of the internal/external network
Responsible for network system quality assurance; consistent with installation standards and project development methodology
Develop, improve, and implement efficient network utilization strategies
Assist in preparing project and unit budgets
Assist in preparing proposals (obtain quotes) for network equipment
Ensure configuration and procedural documentation is maintained and organized
Available for 24/7 on-call support and able to deploy changes during off-hour change control windows

Qualifications/Background Profile:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5 years of cloud experience
Advanced knowledge of Cisco technologies and internetworking concepts, protocols, and methods
Proficient at managing the execution of maintenance activities and network outages
Required travel up to 5% per year
Certifications: AWS, Azure, or Google; AWS Certified Advanced Networking is a plus
COVID-19 vaccine: must be fully vaccinated before starting
