Educational Business Analyst

Job Description: iSphere is looking for Educational Lead Business Analysts for an 18+ month opportunity with comprehensive knowledge in K-12 district business functions for student support to assist in defining future state requirements, system functionality, processes, procedures, data, 3rd party integrations, customizations and reporting capabilities for our Dallas/Fort Worth clients. These individuals will serve as Project lead business analysts working within an internal school districts IT development team to support and facilitate the implementation and roll-out of a Student Management/ Data Solution product. PowerSchool or Aeries Student Information System experience highly desired.

Responsibilities:

Works collaboratively with clients/business owners to develop business requirements; conducts analysis and understanding of business functionality & practices to integrate processes and system functionality into the SIS.
Works collaboratively with SIS SMEs and vendor’s process consultants in resolving challenging business solutions via the SIS.
Develop and document system, process and procedural gap analysis to ensure future system configuration, data migration, customizations, integrations and reporting requirements are met.
Aligns and documents legacy SIS processes with new SIS processes to assist with user acceptance testing.
Conducts significant systems testing; supports data conversions; supports local system rollouts; executes all work in alignment with district’s systems plans.
Helps users develop processes & procedures that support future state transformation.
Assist with development and delivery of training materials.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong Project Management, Business Analysis / Business Process / experience
Ability to work in an Agile / Scrum development environment
Minimum 7+ years in the IT industry, preferably with experience in an educational institution or educational software/consulting
Strong technical writing skills for business requirements/design, process/ procedure/UAT/ Training documentation
SQL , Data Analytics a plus
Excellent facilitation, presentation skills (Advance MS word, excel, PowerPoint)
Extremely flexible with strong work ethic to accommodate high level of multiple responsibilities
Experience with PowerSchool or Aeries Student Information Systems
Experience as a PowerSchool Administrator and PowerSchool customization portfolio added benefit
