  • Negotiation of finalized project charters with project stakeholders, sponsors and teams.
  • Serves as a coach to Scrum Teams ensuring the Agile practices and principles are used to deliver high quality products and services to our customers (owner of the Scrum process).
  • Constantly striving to create high performing teams by recognizing areas of strength and needed improvement by routine review and learning with Scrum Teams (constantly improving team performance).
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders, and Scrum Teams, through constant review of progress in order to influence and drive decision making to garner high customer satisfaction and project/product success.
  • Resolves scrum team impediments, working with Scrum Team members, other Scrum Masters, and organizational leaders in order to increase the effectiveness of the Scrum process within the organization.
  • Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Backlog Grooming, and Sprint Retrospective.
  • Contributes to the evangelism, advancement and improvement of Agile practices throughout the entire organization.
  • Manages a broad range of projects, such as regulatory, research-based, and system change initiatives while applying Agile principles where effective.
  • Motivation of team members who are not direct reports.
  • Communicate periodically with executive management regarding the status of current project initiatives and obtain executive guidance and approval as required to advance initiatives.
Need 3 years of project management experience. Junior level project managers will be considered. Experience in an Agile work environment is a plus. Experience or background in financial services is a huge plus. The company has a small I.T. department with about 60 employees with about 500 employees total. It offers a traditional retirement plan that the company contributes 10% (escalating to 15% with tenure). This is not a matching retirement plan. No employee contribution is required. The position offers every other Friday off with some telecommute days each week (2 or 3). The position is also bonused at 15-20% and offers excellent healthcare benefit options. No sponsorship is available for this position at this time.
