Job Summary:Supports internal and external federal government audits. This involves obtaining, analyzing, and providing system retrieves and other supporting documentation, obtaining relevant policies and procedures and assessment of information and documentation gathered. Assesses validity of incurred costs for compliance with regulations. Prepares and distributes reports to leadership as required. Research federal government rulings and regulations.Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities:Performs research on federal government rulings and regulations in preparation for audit efforts

Understands tedious and often complex sets of federal government regulations - primarily Cost Accounting Standards, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and other applicable government regulations (DFAR, AIDAR, etc.). Also understand DCAA (Defense Contract Administration Agency) audit programs, and guidance.

Provides support to Government audits including, but not limited to, accounting system retrieves, documentation retrieval, and assessments of information gathered.

Performs analysis of billing data or incurred cost data and assesses validity in response to audit requests or internal needs.

Works with various accounting software and reporting tools to analyze and synthesize information in preparation for audit support efforts.

Acts as a liaison with government auditors for day to day requests and ensures maintenance of good relationships with both the government and our internal customers.

Follow audit/review plans and programs, prepare workpapers and summarize results

Provides support in formulating verbal and written responses to audit requests.

Assists with managing the SharePoint collaborations sites.

Assists in conducting analyses requested by leadership

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Technical Skills:Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office skills; Core Accounting skills and strong communication skills preferredBasic knowledge of FAR and CAS regulations and/or other Federal regulations such as DFARS, AIDAR etc

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; 3 to 6 years of compliance and regulatory audit support experience preferred. Experience developing audit/review plans, programs, workpapers and results, or ability to quickly learn and apply these tools on the job. Experience working in or with DCAA or DCMA is a plus.
