The Opportunity:The Maintenance Manager is responsible for providing expertise and leadership to the service and maintenance staff while ensuring the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of WestRock’s assets. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for driving continuous improvement of plant operations to enable efficient, high-quality production of customer products. Responsibility includes Safety, Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering and Planning.Recommend corrective measures to improve production methods and equipment performanceDevelop and track maintenance budgets, develop and prioritize plant reliability opportunity lists, lead process improvement projectsOptimize Preventative and Predictive Maintenance program and managing capital improvement projectsDevelop scope on capital improvement projects; participate in equipment materials selection and layout to optimize maintainability; promote consistency by standardizing equipment; provide technical expertise for installation, maintenance procedures and start-up of all new critical equipment; assure that necessary spare parts are identified, and inventory maintainedSuggest changes in work processes to increase efficiencyParticipate in the awarding of contracts for outside services and acquisitionsActively assist in continuous improvement activities and offer positive suggestions for improvements and innovationsInstill a proactive approach towards safety with employee involvement; ensure safety complianceTrain and mentor staff; plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problemsHow you will impact

Westrock:· You will direct, maintain, and participate in

and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety

records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance

employees. Ensures compliance with all applicable OSHA standards.· You will implement and manage the plant

maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis

on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.· You will minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate

and solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for

improvement by reviewing the operation of plant equipment and systems

constantly· Communicate directly with the operations

department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas· Utilize and maintain JDE system for tracking

work orders, PM’s, monitor spare parts, and provide maintenance history of

plant equipment. Track, analyze and improve key maintenance

performance indicators such as asset utilization, maintenance costs, PM/WO

completions, etc.· Ensure that maintenance employees are adequately

trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be

accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.· Leads Equipment Reliability team and initiatives· Work within the Plant Preventative and

Predictive Maintenance program· Actively assist in continuous improvement

activities and offers positive suggestions for improvements and innovations· Assist in the budgeting, capital planning and

financial review of plant performance· Develop scope on capital improvement projects;

regulations and company policies, procedures and work instructions.What you need to succeed:· Dedication to create and maintain a safety-first

culture· High school diploma or equivalent required· BS degree in Engineering or related technical

degree highly desired· Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance

experience· 3 years of experience as maintenance manager in

heavy industry / manufacturing / packaging· Electro-mechanical knowledge and experience

required· Strong organizational and leadership skills· Ability to communicate effectively across

departments· Excellent problem-solving ability· Effective computer skills including Microsoft

Office; JDE and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) are

desired· Willing to work flexible hours as
