TANNERY GENERAL FOREPERSON B-SHIFT

Insure Tannery supervisors run their areas productively and efficiently.

Insure all areas and machinery in each department are ready for production start ups

Make sure employees are performing work in a safe and efficient manner.

Insure the quality of the Tannery area products.

Act as a liaison between plant management and Tannery supervisors.

Insure all supervisors are following plant safety, quality and attendance procedures.

Attempt to minimize downtime.

Tour area frequently to insure supervisors are performing their work properly and also to insure employee morale.

Work on various special projects in the Tannery area.

Insure supervisor paperwork is prepared in an accurate and timely manner.

Attempt to insure that Tannery area reaches its daily standards and make correction in procedure if necessary.

Make sure product breaks run when they are supposed to.

Deal with all concerns on Tannery B shift that may have within the Tannery area.

Deal with all union grievances and concerns for B shift.

Work tasks fluctuate depending on how well the floor is running.

Job performance is measured by the Production Superintendent on the consistency of the work performed in area.

Attend and give input at daily supervisor meetings within the department.

Attend and give input at weekly GM meetings.

Directly involved in interviewing and hiring new supervisors in the work area.

Directly responsible for training new supervisors in the area.

Responsible for preparing annual evaluations on all Tannery B shift line supervisors.

Directly involved in disciplinary procedures with supervisors. These may range from verbal warnings to terminations.
