Currently, we have an opening for a GIS Administrator/Lead (Initial remote) in Austin, Texas for one of our direct Client. This position details are given below. Please read the Job description and apply. Title: Senior GIS Administrator/Lead Duration: 18+ Months with possible extension Location: Austin, Texas Until staff is allowed to return to work this position will be 100% remote. When staff are allowed to return this position will also be required to report to the physical address listed above. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: (Required)

  • Install, configure, and manage ArcGIS software in AWS cloud.
  • Create detailed ArcGIS architectural diagrams, Installation Guides, and Runbooks necessary for operational management of ArcGIS software.
  • Work with the security team in creating a System Security Plan to harden the installation.
  • Address non-functional requirements such as scalability, high availability, performance, disaster recovery, and reliability.
  • Automate monitoring and incident response to the extent possible through scripting.
  • Onboard users to the environment educate them on best practices, help troubleshoot and resolve issues.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Experience managing ArcGIS Enterprise out of which at least three years in a public cloud environment 8 Required Experience in monitoring the performance and health of the site using server logs and statistics, submitting error reports, and locating, querying, and intervening in current geoprocessing jobs 5 Required Excellent oral and written communication skills. 5 Required Problem solving and analytical skills. 4 Required Experience in securing the site using firewalls and ports, server certificates, and strict HTTPS communication following the best practices for security rules and adhering to enterprise policies. 4 Required Working experience on Linux operating system. 4 Required Experience in building custom administrative automation tools and script workflows using ArcGIS REST API and ArcPy 3 Preferred Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry 2 Preferred ArcGIS Certification 2 Preferred Prior experience with an HHS agency
