General Contract Laborer - Helper (Growth Potential!)

We are seeking a reliable general laborer to join our growing company. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting contractors, operating heavy machinery, and following all site health and safety regulations. A strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
This position is an entry-level position into construction (commercial and residential).
The general labor/helper’s primary duty is to assist our team with offsite and onsite duties related to the successful completion of projects. These duties will include but are not limited to working in a variety of settings such as residential, occupied, and unoccupied commercial, and new construction.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related assignments to basic construction, such as working at construction sites performing tasks such as maintenance, repairs, demolition, laying concrete, installing floors, and windows, and building various structures.
This position is an introduction to becoming a skilled laborer.
General Accountabilities
Unload tools, prepare building site materials, and set up equipment.
Follow project instructions from the construction manager or lead.
Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures.
Operate a variety of tools including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, etc.
Measure, mark, or record openings, and distances to layout areas where work is to be performed.
Aid contractors (i.e., craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed.
Cleans the site of all rubble, debris, waste and/or other materials
Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly.
Job Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be able to travel to projects out of town as needed.
Must be able to work different shifts as needed by project demand.
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Good eye and hand coordination.
Must be comfortable climbing up tall ladders, and working at elevated levels.
Positive attitude and work ethic
Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
English and Spanish fluency a plus
