Your Opportunity

The Digital Experience Management Product Owner will be responsible for supporting the day to day management, implementation, and integration of the new features and functionality within the context of the corporate Content Management System (CMS). The PO will be responsible for working with both marketing, and technical stakeholders to help define requirements, drive alignment & buy-in, and manage expectations. The ideal candidate will have had prior CMS implementation experience, and a blended digital marketing and technical background.

What you are good at

  • Support SCRUM team through development of new features and functionality for the Drupal CMS
  • Transform chaos into clarity by establishing workflows and supporting documentation
  • Partner with SME's in other areas to elevate CMS in all areas including analytics, accessibility, UX, and SEO.
  • Incorporate SME's into workflow for maintenance of CMS and new site migrations
  • Engage with extended team to support pre-planning activities for digital properties planned to migrate onto CMS.
  • Clear and timely communication of program updates to executive sponsors, business stakeholders, and project team members
  • Establish and maintain partnership with marketing organizations to ensure alignment on program roadmaps, execution plans and tracking risks and issues that align to business strategy.
  • Mitigate and manage escalations to minimize impact to team and platform.

In order to be successful, the candidate should have the following skills:

  • Ability to create strong engagement with partner organizations in development of program roadmaps, execution plans and tracking risks and issues that align to business strategy.
  • Demonstrated CMS implementation and management experience (ideally with Drupal).
  • Act decisively with ability to impact and influence others
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to dive into details to drive issue resolution.
  • Ability to collaborate with marketing teams to align marketing activities and how they should be executed within the CMS.
  • Ability to participate in technical discussions with architects and developers to define requirements and determine the best approach to implement technical solutions
  • Attitude of transparency - Desire and ability to bring disclosure and transparency to the Scrum team and grow trust between the business and development.
  • Conflict resolution: Able to facilitate discussion of issues and different approaches and alternatives, and effectively resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Experience working with UI/UEx professionals and front-end developers
  • A thorough understanding and appreciation for the Agile values and principles.
  • Experience in a large, complex enterprise Agile environment where successful projects potentially involve more than 1 Scrum team.

What you have

  • Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience in technical and digital marketing disciplines.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Drupal is a requirement
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with Agile methodologies
  • A minimum of 2 years' direct experience with CMS implementations and practices
  • Prior experience using Jira/Confluence and other Atlassian suite of products
  • Thorough understanding of and proven ability to:
  • Write user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Split large stories into smaller stories
  • Groom the backlog
  • Conduct Release planning
  • Conduct Sprint planning
  • Navigate the Sprint review activities
  • Current or previous Schwab contracting or employment experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Content, campaign & digital marketing strategy
  • Technical architecture & leadership
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JS and PHP
