The Advanced Analytics Platform Administrator in the EBI Advanced Analytics team will focus on operations and administration of the advanced analytics ecosystem in the Azure cloud. They will to help drive CUSTOMER’s analytics transformation as part of our Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) team and will be responsible for interacting with the Enterprise Data Science Platform owner, and business units across CUSTOMER developing and deploying data science and AI applications on this platform. You will be responsible for taking ownership of the technical success for our advanced analytics platform development and production environments, delivering world-class level of support, building documentation, interfacing with technical & non-technical stakeholders within CUSTOMER, and serving as the primary point of contact on technical support interactions with data science software vendors. You will interact with clients through various media (phone, email/tickets, and onsite visits) in a professional and efficient manner along with being held to the highest industry standards for responsiveness and services provided. You will report to the EBI Advanced Analytics Architect and performance goals will be based on specific metrics associated with platform uptime, system performance, usage, monitoring, and feedback from your customers. You will also act as a mentor to more junior support personnel, likely located in foreign countries such as Mexico, Taiwan and Netherlands. Job Responsibilities:· Build and maintain documentation for management, maintenance, best practices and support of EBI’s advanced analytics platform, within CUSTOMER.· Help define KPIs for the advanced analytics platform operations in CUSTOMER, aiming to maximize uptime of platform development instances, implement automated checks and notifications to report on health of platform workflows, and monitor server resource consumption to ensure adequate resource availability for efficient development and execution of platform workflows.· Manage platform version upgrades, including upgrades to Python and R coding environments, and integration with peripheral technologies (e.g. Azure Kubernetes Service, API services, etc.) leveraged by teams using the platform.· Oversee the satisfactory resolution of all technical issues involving the platform infrastructure, and serve as the main technical point of contact for internal stakeholders at CUSTOMER (i.e. CUSTOMER Cloud Center of Excellence, EBI Enterprise Architecture team) and external vendor technical support resources (e.g. Microsoft, Dataiku).· Manage resource pooling for Azure cloud services to adjust compute, network and storage, on-demand.· Create cloud infrastructure for applications (PaaS), using Azure DevOps pipelines.· Not only have a good understanding of Terraform, but be able to publish applications through Azure Devops pipelines, using Terraform.· Establish protocol for addressing support issues and escalations during non-operational hours, using ServiceNow.· Maintain high service standards towards users and maintain service level agreements with these customers· Engage with end users on our communication media platforms such as Yammer, Microsoft Teams, email, wiki, intranet, all in a timely and professional way.· Build and maintain documentation for management (plugins, LDAP connection, Dataiku version upgrades, etc), maintenance (cost usage, cpu usage, disc usage, network traffic, etc), best practices and support of EBI’s advanced analytics platform, knowledge articles, within CUSTOMER.· Manage the cadence of work with your team of support colleagues: Python Developer, Dataiku Application Administrator, Dataiku Product Owner, etc.Skills & Qualifications· Fluent in English; fluency or working knowledge of Spanish is a plus.· Passion for big data, data science and enterprise AI.· Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical individuals as needed.· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new and rapidly evolving technologies in the cloud and data science space.· BS in an Engineering or advanced analytics field, or equivalent practical experience.· Prior experience and in-depth understanding and experience working with a variety of legacy BI analytics and/or big data technologies (Hadoop, SQL/NoSQL/T-SQL databases, Teradata QueryGrid, BI tools, H2O etc).· Strong knowledge and hands on experience of programming tools, scripting, and development languages and APIs (Python, C#, Bash, Jupyter, etc).· Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD automation tools-Git, Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.· Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes· Strong working proficiency with Unix-based operating systems and general systems administration knowledge (i.e., command line interface, SSH, handling permissions, networking, resource utilization, etc); capable of Linux administration.· Experience with Terraform is a must· Comfortable discussing different authentication or authorization systems like LDAP, SAML, SSO, and Kerberos.· Expert knowledge of Azure… also having working knowledge of AWS is a plus. Prior Dataiku Data Science Studio experience is ideal.· Have a general understanding of data science and machine learning workflows and how the underlying data “flows” through the required environments / platforms to support these analytics.· Prior experience managing technical software environment in the semi-conductor space a plus.· Ability to develop and execute an operations strategy for incident and change management· Ability to work with Azure, Dataiku Data Science Studio and other custom log files, create custom metrics, and incorporate these metrics into centralized analytics tools such as ELK, Splunk etc., to track ongoing cloud costs, compute consumption, storage consumption, etcExperience Required· Azure Infra and Devops· Terraform· Python· CI/CD Automation· Docker and Kubernetes· Unix Roles & Responsibilities Generic Managerial Skills EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or related computer disciplines.
