We are seeking for a Release and Deployment Analyst for a long term contract role.
Requirements:Ideal candidate should have 3 + years of experience in Release Management.

Release and Deployment Management (RDM):

The RDM process plans, schedules and controls the build, test, and deployment of releases to deliver new functionality and infrastructure upgrades while protecting the quality and integrity of existing services.

This is not a management position.

Responsibilities:

Deploy and validate software releases through the different stages and environments
Track and report on issues with deployments
Create and/or modify SOP, process diagrams, and supporting documentation
Communicate deployment schedules to all IT Cross-Functional Teams
Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
Develop automation scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, test, and deploy software releases to various platforms
Assist with release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews
Compile release deployment (RD) package components
Work closely with Product Delivery Director to ensure lessons learned are documented and published for future use
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Assist with maintaining a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Assist with management of risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Assist with plans, and management of all release activities
Assist with the Go-Live activities including the execution of the release rollout/back-out plans and checklist

Candidate should have excellent communication skills, fast learner and work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience:

3+ years of experience in the IT Software Release Management domain.
2+ years of experience with source code version control systems.
Experience with scripting languages.
Experience in Agile Methodology.

Preferred Experience:

2+ years of GIT experience, including build and release pipeline automation, branching and merge strategies
2+ years of experience with build, orchestration, deployment tools
2+ years of experience with automation tools.
