Big Data/Spark Developer with Java Opening - Long-Term, On-Going ContractKEY Vendor for their Automotive end client We have placed over 180 contractors with this KEY Vendor. Another Delivery Lead contact of mine.Long-Term, On-Going ContractThe position will start remote but eventually will require candidates to sit on-site in Austin, TX, Atlanta, GA or Detroit, MI.

Pay Range:

2+ year's experience needed $60-65/hr C2C DOEPlease do not submit any Visa transfer candidates.Visa Documentation: We will be able to provide Redacted Work Order between Client and Vendor and Redacted MSA between Client and Vendor, Vendor Letter.

Do you like working in a fast-paced environment, and working to solve big data challenges?Client is continuing to innovate on our connected vehicle initiatives, and is transforming the customer and vehicle experience within this space. For us, the future is now – designing and developing hyperscale data and computational systems enabling Client connected vehicle and related vehicle data products. We have several openings for Software Engineers within our Big Data space.

Design, build and maintain near real-time big data applications and pipelines to process billions of records into and out of our high-performance layers and data lakes, powering vehicle data products and services
Characterize and optimize application and pipeline performance
Troubleshoot and resolve data processing issues
Engage in application design and data modeling discussions
Participate in developing and enforcing data security policies
Participate in capacity monitoring and planning
Actively incubate new technologies and tools for big data initiatives
Build, maintain and execute unit test cases with high coverage
Work closely with other data and analytics team members to optimize the company’s data systems and pipeline architecture
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of work and to motivate others to join development process.

Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or related field, advanced degree preferred

Developing on Spark (MUST),
Hadoop (Preferred)
If no Hadoop, Spring Boot
Programming in Java
Spring – need at least mid-level knowledge
1+ years developing on an RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
Exposure to data hygiene routines and models
Ability to work independently and in a self organized, dynamic multi-team environment. Can guide team discussion for product and team improvement.
Deep understanding of highly available distributed systems architecture and development
Full software development life-cycle experience with CICD and rigorous testing prior to release.
Solid Understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
