If you meet all requirements and are interested in applying please send an updated resume to Job Position Title: Sr. Data Analyst /Data Engineer Work Location : Austin, Texas or telecommute based elsewhere Contract 5 months Summary of the project/initiative: The candidate will be supporting data development, data engineering, reporting /Tableau data visualization and QA for the DSNP Navigation Program. Top responsibilities for these positions:

Focus area: Data Analytics - data analytics and data transformation (ETL) to support UHC DSNP and Medicaid member outreach program enhancements
Individuals would participate on a team of data report analysts, data quality analysts, and engineers/architects
Requirements gathering to define logic for business metrics and analytics; develop code crosswalks, data mappings, and summarized data sets in support of dashboards & report calculations; create and maintain reports
Data transformation to support front-end reporting analytics, along with ability to understand and utilize ETL back end data transformation, development, and configuration.
Demonstrated ability to analyze technical and domain related issues in live applications, support business queries and questions related to application output and business logic.
Experience designing, developing and implementing and maintaining database and programs to manage data analysis efforts.
Deep experience in data modelling, data analysis and relational database design.
Data quality - develop QA processes; create validation and test scenarios and datasets; validate results against data sources and expected business trends; root cause analysis into why trends differ; test & QA data loading, ETL, and reporting processes.

Ideal Background:

Oracle PL/SQL development needed; UNIX/Linux would be helpful.
Good hands on experience in SQL and Java/Scala
Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server/Oracle/Teradata/IBM DB2/MySQL
Experience in working with end to end data engineering projects and setting up required tools in Linux environment for application releases.
ETL/Data Warehouse concepts needed; large volume data movement and ETL tools
Ability to analyze and understand data & its business context, to map or extend existing data models and/or design new structures
Strong data visualization skills and experience using Tableau or other reporting solutions (SharePoint or Excel) strongly preferred
Experience with Document DBs, NoSQL, Distributed queues etc.
Experience with GitHub or other version management would be preferable
Experience with Agile framework, Data Warehousing Design, Cloud Technologies would be preferable
Knowledge of Python would be preferable
