USEReady.is looking for Splunk Engineers in Plano, TX / San Antonio, TX. We are looking for local candidates in TX or who can relocate to TX

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise reporting systems including Splunk is critical; experience with other data visualization and reporting systems like Tableaux is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and network design, particularly as it relates to information and data security, including firewalls and concepts of multi-tier network segmentation.
  • Strong understanding of database design principles and experience with structured query language (SQL), enterprise data management, and with data extraction, transformation, and load operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, ability to develop collaborative relationships with partner teams and customer organizations is critical.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale systems integration and workflow automation.
  • Hands-on experience with the software quality assurance process and understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices for defect management.
  • Advanced knowledge of performance metrics and reporting: identifying/defining KPI's that indicate a healthy operating condition for a given infrastructure or application and then defining instrumentation and alerting to monitor those KPI's.
  • Excellent technical problem resolution skills and front-line experience supporting mission critical applications and infrastructure.
  • Advanced knowledge of information systems architectures and enterprise application design.
  • Software development or basic programming or scripting skills not required but a good understanding of basic software development lifecycle, Information Technology Service Management processes, and enterprise change control processes is critical for this role.
  • Hands-on experience with IT risk management best practices and with addressing resolving any issues identified during IT audit programs.
  • Effective collaboration with peer groups to identify and highlight best practices in support through continuous assessment, and elevating process and product recommendations to senior managers.
