Location: 100% Remote

Position Type: 6M C2H or Direct-Hire (based on candidate preference)

Hourly / Salary: BOE + 5% bonus structure + 19days PTO + 401K matching

JOB SUMMARY

Vaco Technology is currently seeking MULTIPLE Senior Java Backend Software Engineers for a 6M C2H or Direct-Hire (based on candidate preference) that is 100% remote-based. The Senior Java Backend Software Engineers will work within an Agile Environment and must possess the creative energy of a start-up, work successfully within a highly flexible work environment, and work efficiently and effectively with Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers.

  • Make Significant Contributions Implementing Shared Services -Maintaining / Upgrading Existing Shared Services
  • 90-95% Hands-On Development / Software Engineering / Code Writing
  • Provide Guidance in the Technical Design / Development Activities
  • Ensure Future Success / Stability Through Code Reviews / Automated Testing
  • Work Closely with Software Architects / Database / Operations Engineers on Systems Infrastructure / Design
  • Effective Cross Functional Communication - Product / Design / Operations
  • Extensive Experience with Software Development Best Practices - Design Patterns / TDD (Test-Driven Development) / Code Profiling / Debugging, etc.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Java / J2EE / JEE / Core Java Design / Development (7+ years) - Performance Tuning / Distributed Systems / Cloud / PaaS / SaaS, etc.
  • Relational Databases (5+ years) - SQL Server / Oracle, etc.
  • Cloud Platform (5+ years) - AWS (Amazon WebServices) / Lambda / DynamoDB / SQS / SNS / S3 / CloudWatch / CloudFormation / CloudTrail / Cognito, etc.
  • WebServices - REST API / WebAPI / MicroServices
  • MicroServices - Build Cloud-Ready Solutions based on MicroServices / Multi-Tenancy Architecture
  • TDD (Test-Driven Development) / Unit Testing
  • SCRUM / Agile Methodology

PREFERRED (not required)

  • Event-Driven Architecture
  • Working in Geographically Distributed Teams (USA / Europe, etc.)
