QA Lead
Position Description CGI is adding a Software Quality Assurance Lead to our team in Nashville, TN. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class IT company, for a permanent position in the Nashville metro area providing leading IT services to our local enterprise clients. The Software Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for leading the quality assurance process in client engagements. This includes developing quality assurance strategies and plans, leading quality assurance testing efforts, collaborating with development teams, and reporting results to internal and client management. Initial focus is a complex, multi-year project leveraging a services-based architecture using Amazon Web Services.Your future duties and responsibilities• Collaborate with team members to find better, more efficient ways of doing things• Design test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on manual test plans, utilizing industry standard testing methodologies or processes• Create system test plans, and software documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals• Lead on-site and remote teams in order to perform all aspects of testing: functional, regression, load and system testing, taking part in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle• Ensure that all test items follow established change management processes and are tested and tracked using the provided test management software• Solve challenging business and technical problems• Provide proactive guidance to junior quality assurance analysts and participate in training classes, engineering reviews, and our mentor programRequired qualifications to be successful in this role• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or directly related degree required• Proven ability to ensure appropriate testing coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and enhancement of comprehensive test plans, test cases/user stories, test steps and test automation• Proficient in developing test cases for web applications, business intelligence, and data solutions such as ETL and data migrations• Experience identifying gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability• Experience in GIT, Jenkins, Java, Jira• Be highly motivated by delivering excellent services to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction• Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREDSolid hands-on experience with testing tools to support automation and performance testing (e.g. Selenium, HPE, TestComplete, Cucumber, Serenity, TestNG, JMeter, LoadRunner)Build your career with us.It is an extraordinary time to be in business.
