Data Visualization Engineer

job summary:

In this role, you will be required to identify a compelling narrative (like trends, comparison, rank order, statistical relationships, etc.) and use appropriate visualization methods to help display the information effectively. You will design engaging and interactive business insights dashboards with a focus on user interaction and user experience to increase engagement with the audience.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and developing complex dashboards using Tableau
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated ability in UI, UX space (can be concurrent or overlap with Tableau experience) of using a combination of user interface tools such as wire frames, prototypes, mock-ups, or white boarding to illustrate product usability
Minimum of 3 years of experience writing complex SQL queries to build Tableau data sources
Empirical understanding of data systems (BI analytics, data blending, data warehousing, data ETL, etc.)
Experience working directly with business partners to capture and validate functional requirements and provide design specifications
Highly desired professional skills include excellent communications skills, analytical skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, with a solid sense of accountability, and possess ability
Experience in machine Learning, and artificial intelligence practices (knowledge of how advancing digital tools and techniques are applied in enterprise data and analytics strategies and roadmaps)
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages (R/ Python) for analyzing datasets
Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

responsibilities:

Develop relevant, efficient dashboards and visualizations using Tableau utilizing features like interactive filters, parameters, and calculations to name a few
Elicit business requirements, develop functional specifications, build prototypes, develop visualizations, conduct quality testing and user acceptance testing, own the roll-out and post-launch enhancements implementation
Build and edit SQL queries for Tableau data source creation
Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Expertise in the full data lifecycle, including data discovery, collection, management, and analysis, Performing Data Modeling
