Cloud Architect (Azure)-MUST go onsite and be local to the area

Location: Nashville, TN (MUST be local)

Duration: 3 month contract to hire

Interested in candidates seeking contract to perm conversion after initial engagement.This position is responsible for driving domain technology plans to align with enterprise goals, business plans and business processes for systems within a specific functional area. Additional responsibilities include general technical oversight and mentoring of team members.Key attributes for a successful candidate for the Cloud Architect role.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing, documenting, and overseeing enterprise level cloud infrastructure architecture solutions for highly available, mission critical environments.
  • Deep understanding and architecture experience with Public Cloud infrastructure – Azure experience required, Google Cloud Platform and AWS nice to have.
  • Through knowledge of cloud service models and service offerings (SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS services).
  • Experience with infrastructure solutions for containerized solutions and micro-services architecture (AKS, Kubernetes, Rancher)
  • Well-versed in deployment automation, release management, full stack provisioning and configuration management technologies and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technology, hybrid service integration, virtualization and hyperconverged infrastructure technology
  • Ability to clearly defined project requirements, develop estimates and coordinate project execution in conjunction with the Project Management Office.
  • Leadership in the evaluation and selection of infrastructure products and solutions.
  • Background with on-premises infrastructure and hybrid service integration a plus.
  • Analyze, design, and develop domain roadmaps that align with goals, business plans, and business processes.
  • Identify and implement ongoing opportunities for system and process improvements.
  • Plan project activities for a development or engineering team to meet enterprise schedule.
  • Create project design documentation and provide technical oversight to ensure successful delivery.
  • Maintain domain standards complying with enterprise standards, ensuring solutions are optimally designed, secure, well performing and integrated with other solutions.
  • Evaluate emerging technology for use in domain.
  • Document domain technology used to perform business processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate architecture and integration options and make recommendations to management.
  • Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
  • Provide general technical oversight and mentoring of team members.
  • Platform knowledge (Linux,Unix,Sun,WindowsNT,XP,Open Step):Other knowledge, skills or abilities:
    • Advanced knowledge of diverse technical configurations, technologies and processing environments.
    • Advanced ability to comprehend business requirements to ensure technical directions are supportive.
    • Advanced ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.
    • Strong knowledge of SOA and object-oriented analysis and design.
    • Strong knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and processes.
    • Strong ability to conduct analysis sessions and may contribute to “Closure Documents.”
    • Ability to estimate the financial impact of technical architecture alternatives.
