The Role We are seeking an

Infrastructure Operations Analysts - Backup/Storage/Restoration Technologists. As a

Backup Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for engineering, administering, and supporting a new cyber resiliency backup and recovery solution. You will have a strong technical expertise in the areas of backup and recovery systems and integrating them to backup databases and VMWare vCenter servers. You will gain a cross-functional understanding of the BNY Mellon-s businesses and how we protect our data and assets. Additionally, you will work with other subject matter experts and resources at BNY Mellon to deploy a cyber-resiliency backup and recovery solution. As a

Backup/Storage/Restoration SME, y ou will be supporting the restoration of files using multiple backup tools related to Spectrum Protect, TSM, Avamar, and NetApp Snapshots. You will focus on addressing backup failures that occur at the server level across Unix and Windows infrastructure. You will have a solid understanding of both Spectrum Protect and Avamar with experience on documenting these processes for the purpose of helping develop process improvements. You will help transition the group processes to automation where possible, help develop the evolution of the ticket process, and take on ownership of continuous improvements.
