Job Description

2ND SHIFT (6PM-4AM, MON-FRI)

TRUSS MANUFACTURING FACILITY

FULL BENEFITS (MEDICAL, DENTAL, VISION, DISABILITY, LIFE, AFLAC, 401K)

Reports To:Truss Plant Production Manager (2nd Shift)

FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Purpose

To support the needs of the Roof Truss, Wall Panel and Floor Truss Production Teams and provide them with safe, efficient and reliable equipment.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Ensure safety of all people by performing preventive service on all equipment on daily, monthly and annually scheduled basis
  2. Diagnose electronic and mechanical issues in timely manner and consistently perform quality repairs on all equipment to eliminate line down time
  3. Perform all preventive maintenance schedules on equipment in timely manner
  4. Communicate with management, employees and vendors to develop solutions
  5. Document all work performed and issues that may arise with equipment

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company rules and guidelines in regards to procedures and safety
  • Continuously improve every aspect of role by always having the goal of getting better
  • Develop long-term solutions to common equipment issues
  • Communicate with vendors on parts and pick up local supplies

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic powered equipment
  • Understanding of how to diagnose equipment issues and develop preventive solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Welding and metal fabrication

Experience

  • 3-5 years of general equipment maintenance experience in a production environment
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
