Description We are seeking a customer-focused and technically proficient Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for end-user technical issues, providing prompt and efficient troubleshooting and resolution. You will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and productive user experience for our entire staff.Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person assistance
Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems and software applications
Reset passwords and manage user accounts
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system backups and software updates
Document technical issues and resolutions
Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets
Assist with onboarding new employees and setting up their workstations
Educate users on proper IT procedures and security best practices
Requirements
Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical support role
Strong understanding of Windows operating systems (e.g., Windows 10, 11)
Proficient in troubleshooting common computer problems
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Windows operating systems
Experience with a ticketing system
Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
Experience with remote support tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
