Staff Accountant

If you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close, you will be preferred for this position. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.How you will make an impactBecome well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

Requirements - Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

Strong familiarity with benefits payroll

Expertise in bi-Monthly Payroll

Certified Payroll experience

Ceridian Payroll System experience

Solid understanding of Automated Payroll

Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

Current and relevant ERP system experience

Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
