Web Application Developer

A client south of Franklin, TN is seeking a Web Application Developer for a permanent position, contract to hire will be considered as well.Currently employees are working 2 days on site and 3 remotely. After the Covid restrictions are lifted, this position will work full-time on-site.The Web Application Developer will report to the Manager of Application Development and will be responsible for developing, configuring, or modifying integrated business and/or enterprise applications. The primary focus of this developer will be to build, maintain and enhance internally focused web based applications. The individual will have the potential to become a Team Lead or hands-on Manager for the web development group.Responsibilities:• Develop, test, and maintain web-based applications and data integration solutions such as Agency Insights, REST API’s, and Customer Information Management based on business requirements• Participate in the design and development of quality practices through test strategies and test automation• Develop functional and technical documentation on assigned projects, including clear and consistent software code documentation• Work in a team environment in supporting the team goals, and improving development engineering practices• Estimate software development efforts on assigned projects and meet them• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in code• Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure design, acceptance criteria and scope is well defined• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, and exhibit a passion for delivering engaging and intuitive user experiencesRequired skills:• Hands-on experience developing web based applications• Experience with .NET and/or C#, RESTful web services, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server, version control systems and Agile development practices• Ability to independently design, code and test application features• Knowledge of software architecture, general design patterns, best practices, Test-driven development (TDD) methodologies and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery• Experience writing technical documentation, working with third party IT vendors and/or software solution providers, gathering technical requirements for the design of web page layouts and the ability to accurately convey recommendations to team members/customersPreferred skills:• Java Spring Framework• Azure• Life insurance domain knowledgeOther Requirements:• Background Check• Drug ScreenEducation:• A Bachelors Degree is preferred but not requiredAlltech, Inc. is a leading provider of IT staffing services in Nashville and the surrounding areas.
