DescriptionThe Cost Accounting Manager will be responsible for the cost accounting function for the enterprise, costing products, margin analysis and tracing costs back to underlying activities. This position requires the ability to develop and maintain accurate costing and valuation for inventory. The Cost Accounting Manager will report directly to the Controller and partner with various team members throughout the organization.Responsibilities:Document workflows, standard operating procedures, working papers and develop training sessions and documentation for use by production team.Prepare and maintain master data such as bill of materials, component and raw materials inventory.Demonstrate initiative, accuracy and attention to detailDrive best practices in financial processes for inventoryInvestigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues.Generate and distribute weekly/monthly/quarterly spend, inventory, and production reports as neededFocus on improvement including; all facets of cost accounting, inventory control, variance analysis, gross margin analysis, forecasting & system improvementLead system testing cycles to identify and correct issues.Performs variance analysis by working closely with Operations personnel including analysis of labor and overhead related variances (both spending and volume related)For immediate consideration contact Kevin Green, kevin.green@roberthalf.comRequirements5+ years cost accounting in a manufacturing environmentStrong analytical & independent problem-solving skills to evaluate financial resultsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience with Oracle a plus.Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
